ROTUNDA FILMS

Celestial Sisters

Work continues apace on tongue-in-cheek sci-fi adventure Celestial Sisters, with post-production and effects work on the existing footage, new shoot dates scheduled for the end of the year, and animatics under way for further scenes.

Producer-Director Kevin McDonagh is working hard to bring this cult-classic-in-the-making to a Mediaplayer near you soon, and expects to have the first full episodes ready to view in 2011. The sneak-peak teaser is hiding away on YouTube. If you're attached to the project, you probably know where to look; if you're not... well, you could probably find it if you tried hard enough!

We're still keen for people to get involved, people who can bring skills, locations, props and above all enthusiasm.

One Bird, Two Stones

Development work continues on Rotunda Films' next feature project, Writer-Director François Pereire's One Bird, Two Stones.

François and Producer David Beaumont have been working with screenwriter Phillip Barron to bring out the richness of the story and characters in this ambitious crime drama. The project is pencilled for a 2011 shoot.

Tied In Blood

The latest feature film to bear the Rotunda Films logo is now officially complete.

Director Matthew Lawrence has been hard at work this year with the post-production crew, fine-tuning the effects shots with the film's team of VFX artists, working with composer Roby Meola on the score, applying the film's killer sound design with the very talented Conrado Silva de Farias, and finishing the ADR and foley and bringing the film to final audio lock with Sound Supervisor Thom Powell at Futureworks.

Producer David Beaumont: "There were times along the way when I think we were all frustrated by how long things were taking, and were tempted to cut corners just to get finished; but in the end we stuck to our guns, and I think the finished film really benefits as a result. I'm really proud of what everyone's achieved on Tied in Blood."

But the work still goes on. With a distribution deal already in place, the film is now being prepared for DVD release, with an extended behind-the-scenes documentary, full-length feature commentary, deleted scenes, outtakes and other extras.

Watch this space, but we expect it to be ready for delivery by the end of the year.
